In recognition of the importance of our community's infrastructure and the people who maintain it, the City of Creedmoor is celebrating National Public Works Week 2019, May 19 to 25.
The highlight of the week will be a public Open House on Wednesday, May 22, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Public Works Facility located at 404 Grey Street. At the Open House, attendees can get an up-close look at some of the City's heavy equipment including dump trucks, tractors, utility vehicles and more. The free and open to the public event will include barbeque cookout, games for the children, free giveaways, and more.
The public will also be able to interact with, and ask questions of, representatives from Creedmoor's Public Works Department. The event will include touch-a-truck, equipment displays, informational booths, demonstrations, free giveaways, snacks and more. Public Works consists of 5 staff members all dedicated to ensuring that Creedmoor's roadways, parks, and other infrastructure are built to and maintained at the highest standard.
The public is encouraged to stop by and learn more about the important work that Creedmoor's Public Works professionals do every day. For more information, please call 919-764-1013.
