The City of Creedmoor is committed to keeping its citizen’s informed of the operations of city government. The North Carolina General Statutes address how public bodies must provide notice of meetings.  NCGS 143-318.12 requires public bodies to provide notice of meetings and public hearings to anyone who requests the information. The list of individuals and organizations who have requested to receive notices is commonly referred to as the “Sunshine List.”

Anyone interested in being notified about the City of Creedmoor’s meetings and public hearings should the Sunshine List Request for Notification and return it to the City Clerk/Public Information Officer at cityclerk@cityofcreedmoor.org.

Notices can be provided in one of two ways:

• USPS Mail ($10.00 annual fee)*

Signing up for the Sunshine List can happen at any time and the City Clerk/Public Information Officer will send renewal notices annually.

*NCGS 143-318.12 allows public bodies to charge $10.00 annually to anyone (excluding media organizations) who request to be notified by USPS mail. This charge is to help defray the cost of printing and postage for sending a paper copy. The e-mail delivery method is always free.
