Overview
The City of Creedmoor Board of Adjustment, a quasi-judicial body, was created pursuant to the authority of Chapter 160A, Article 19, Part 3 of the North Carolina General Statutes. This Board renders binding decisions that considerably affect the value of properties and the rights of individual citizens within the corporate limits and inside of the extraterritorial planning jurisdiction of the City of Creedmoor. This Board is charged by the governing Board of Commissioners with adopting and consistently observing appropriate rules of procedure for ethical conduct of the proceedings brought before them for consideration.
Board Meeting Dates
The Board of Adjustment meets each quarter on the first Monday of the months of February, May, August, and November at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room at City Hall, 111 Masonic Street.
Board Member Requirements
Board membership is limited to persons not previously convicted of a felony offense in North Carolina or any of the United States or its territories. Each member serves a three-year (3) term. Members are required to attend 85% of all scheduled meetings in order to maintain appointment.

Board Member Residency
The City of Creedmoor's Board of Adjustment consists of:
• Three (3) representatives who reside within the city limits, appointed at large by the City Board of Commissioners; and
• Two (2) representative who resides inside of the extraterritorial planning jurisdiction (ETJ), appointed at large by the Granville County Board of Commissioners and one (1) alternate.
