Overview
Creedmoor PD Crisis Intervention Services were developed to better serve the community and to address the special challenges to law enforcement posed by persons with mental illness.
The Creedmoor Police Department has a Crisis Intervention Officer who has completed 40 hours of specialized training in mental illness and crisis intervention techniques.
Officers and telecommunicators that graduate from the CIT program have completed training in specialized areas including:
• Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention;
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders;
• De-Escalation Techniques;
• Developmental Disabilities;
• Homeless Population; and
• Mental Illness.
