Message from Chief Troy Wheless

Thank you for your interest in learning more about the Creedmoor Police Department. We look forward to sharing information about our department and connecting with our community.

I was sworn in as the Chief of Police in February 2023 and am fortunate to lead a group of men and women who care deeply about their community. It is my goal for our officers to be available to our citizens every day, whether at a planned event or during routine patrol duties.

Throughout 2023, our officers worked to build partnerships with the citizens of Creedmoor by increasing our engagement in the community. In addition to receiving emails and phone calls, I have witnessed first-hand the care and compassion that our officers have for the citizens of Creedmoor.  We understand that effective policing is not possible without the relationships and partnerships formed in our community.

Over the next several years, our community will grow significantly. You, as our valued partners, through open conversations and dialogue will play an enormous role in determining what your police department will look like in the future.
